May 6, 2013 Host Kathleen Marshall Speaks With Local Bicycle Enthusiast and Owner of Adventure’s Edge Bike Shop, Jennifer Johnson

female cyclistMay is National Bike Month and spring on the North Coast has been magnificent.  The annual Tour of the Unknown Coast is coming up and I personally realized I haven’t been on my bike in two years.  Enter Jennifer Johnson, owner of Adventure’s Edge Bike Shop.  Jennifer was raised in Eureka, California.  Ready to ride by the time she was 4 years old, she ‘borrowed’ her neighbor’s bike, road it down the street and a love affair was born.  Now, after earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Humboldt State University, working several different jobs, marrying and having children, she has realized a life-long dream.  She has managed to mesh her business education with her passion for bicycling.  5 years ago she made a phone call, never really expecting her wildest dream to come true.

Jennifer speaks about her passion for cycling.  She also speaks specifically about technical aspects of bicycling, from seat fit to cost, and why we women should get back in the saddle.Bicycling
