November 12, 2012 Host Corinne Frugoni Interviews Kim Class, Founder and Director of the Companion Animal Foundation in Arcata, California

Kim Class and her staff are constantly asking the question “why do some people see animals as unique and important and others see animals as disposable and worth very little?”  Kim believes that it all starts with the children and the messages they receive throughout their young lives.

The mission of the Companion Animal Foundation, which Kim Class founded and now directs, is to raise the status of animals by decreasing pet overpopulation through spay/neuter assistance as well as public education.  CAF provides meaningful programs for both children and adults which focus on increasing awareness of the unique relationship we humans share with our animal friends. CAF works cooperatively with all animal rescue groups and the community to find good homes for adoptable animals.

If you are interested in getting more information about CAF as well as some the creative and exciting future programs that Kim and her staff are hoping to implement, contact Kim at director@cafanimals.org or call 707 826-PETS (7387).
